Uh, hey, this is Adora. Please leave a message.
Especially if you're Catra. Please.
Room 305, Thursday
Aug. 26th, 2021 06:33 pmGiven she'd stumbled through a portal with only the clothes on her back, it would've been impossible for Adora not to have more to take back home with her, but even so, it wasn't that much more stuff, so packing wasn't really taking her all that long.
Which meant she was now pondering the painting Miles had done for her.
She was pretty sure She-Ra was strong enough to carry it, so it was more a question of if anyone would notice if she happened to take a wall with her.
[Open!]

Room 305, Friday Night
Aug. 21st, 2021 01:47 amStressed out from the dreams she'd been having and looking for glowing rocks, as well as blissfully unaware of what either of those things meant, Adora had decided to make an early night of it.
She been out like a light almost as soon as her head hit the pillow in a deep, thankfully, dreamless sleep.
Okay she probably wouldn't have been so thankful if she she knew why those dreams had stopped.
[For one or the roomie!]

Brushing off the dust that until very recently had been a warehouse wall until she'd... improvised a new exit, Adora shook out her hand, flexing it. It didn't hurt, not really, and even if it had been injured changing into She-Ra tended to heal stuff like that, but still, that had been one of the more unpleasant ways to spend a morning.
Caught up in her thoughts, she didn't realise how deep she'd walked into the woods until she heard an all too familiar voice crooning her name.
Adora
Her head snapped up. No, that was impossible. Shadow Weaver was...she'd watched her...but there she was. A tall, slender figure, robed and masked, wreathed in shadows that clung to her as she glided forwards
Adora
Adora tried to back away. Tried to change into She-Ra, or to at least tap into that well of bone-deep anger that had fuelled her last actual conversation with Shadow Weaver, but like trying to catch hold of mist, and all she could do was stare as Shadow Weaver drew near. Frozen like prey before a predator as a hand, cold, wet, clammy reached out to brush her cheek.
Something about the wrongness of that touch, the difference in the discomfort broke through the paralysis, and she shoved with all her might at the grasping, clinging hands pulling at her. Not!Shadow Weaver's wrists crumbling away under the pressure of her fingers as she melted in on herself.
Panting, hands streaked with clay, Adora scrambled backwards, eyes fixed on the puddle of muck in front of her, waiting for it to attack again.
[Open, sure.]

Room 305, Saturday Morning
Apr. 10th, 2021 10:34 pmAdora might have had an extremely frustrating week, but that just made the relief when she started to drift awake and felt normal again all the more sweet and relaxing. Enough so that she dismissed a not entirely unfamiliar weight thumping on the mattress as simply misplaced nostalgia and wishful thinking.
"Mom."
Wait. What?
"Mom."
She cracked open an eyelid.
Boy did Adora have a set of lungs on her.

Room 305, Wednesday Morning
Feb. 11th, 2021 02:51 amAdora had been curled up comfortably in bed, fast asleep, when something large and heavy landed on her stomach.
Leaping out of bed, she brandished the nearest item to hand at the Horde-issue duffel with Shadow Weaver (mommy issues) stencilled on it. A moment later Catra (worries for) and Catra (worries about) joined it.
She barely had time for more than a "What the...?" before she was buried under a veritable rain of duffles, including but not limited to imposter syndrome (She-Ra), selfish child, only a weapon, and hair envy.
Sadly, the pile was actually smaller than it would've been if this had happened not even a year ago.

Room 305, Saturday Morning
Jan. 2nd, 2021 08:38 pmFrom Adora's perspective, she'd had a great few weeks, with no real perception of the passage of time, and nothing to worry about but interesting things to try and pounce on (sorry, Miles). So when she leapt at a particularly fascinating sunbeam, she wasn't really expecting to crash to the floor in a tangle of limbs...at least not human-shaped ones.
"Owwww," she groaned, before she caught sight of the wall. "Awwww."
That was so much more awesome than a stick (she still had trouble picking gifts, okay).

Room 305, Tuesday Morning Before Classes
Dec. 15th, 2020 10:53 pmAdora had been stealing a moment to call Catra and catch up, mainly about the terrible betrayal of candy that attempted to kill and devour you, when she felt oddly twitchy all over. It was kind of entirely unlike how changing into She-Ra felt, but all of a sudden figuring this out was much less important than trying to catch and gnaw on her own tail.
She attempted to pounce on the offending appendage, a misplaced paw cutting off Catra mid-reaction.
[Establishly.]

Oct. 3rd, 2020 11:59 pmWhen Adora finally got to bed last night, after having three separate showers to get rid of all the spider gremlin gunk, she'd crashed pretty hard. So when she started drifting towards wakefulness and realised there was a warm furry body in bed with her, she naturally relaxed and snuggled in closer.
At least until she remembered where she was.
Her eyes flew open. That was definitely not Catra.
Adora's yell was not particularly coherent.

Considering that Adora had believed she wasn't even getting visitors, this weekend had pretty much been the best she could've wished for, right down to Catra derailing the tour she'd tried to give the three of them with a chase across the rooftops.
Of course, right now Catra was also derailing her attempts to pack, which was pleasant but also deeply unhelpful.
"You have to move at some point."

So, setting out on an epic adventure to restore magic to the universe wasn't quite as simple as just piling into Darla and going. Lots of things were more complicated when you didn't have the urgency of people shooting at you (or everyone you knew being mind-controlled, or any of the dozen other complications that made up their lives) speeding up the decision process.
What was easier to wrangle while they were working out those logistics were what were ostensibly scouting missions to figure out what was in the neighbourhood now that they had one again, but were actually thinly veiled excuses to explore, rough-house and let out some steam.
Adora wasn't even sure who'd started this particular shoving match, not that actually mattered. It didn't take much for her and Catra to fall back into a pattern of cheerful pushing and wrestling and tossing each other around, Melog getting tangled up in both their legs, laughing all the while.
At least until Adora stumbled back into a rock, its surface flat and glassy, and fell right through it...
[NFI, NFB because establishy and faaaaaaaaar away!]
